Job Overview

We are seeking a Sr Cybersecurity GRC Analyst in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL to lead efforts in strengthening cybersecurity awareness, compliance, and risk management. This role is responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, managing incident response, and ensuring alignment with industry regulations and global security standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the analyst will help protect Komatsu’s data, systems, and reputation against evolving cyber threats.

This position is not eligible for remote work now or in the future. Temporary relocation to the Milwaukee-area and Chicago-area is not available.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Awareness Program Management:  Develop and deliver tailored security awareness content and conduct training sessions for varied audiences 
    Lead Advanced Threat Monitoring: Proactively monitor, analyze, and interpret complex security events using advanced tools and threat intelligence to detect potential risks and incidents. Security Incident Management: Coordinate and manage the full incident response lifecycle, ensuring swift and thorough resolution, including root cause analysis and documentation.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct in-depth risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Policy and Compliance Leadership: Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, NIST, ISO 27001). 
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Provide expert-level guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and other employees on best practices, threat awareness, and compliance. Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present clear, detailed security reports, dashboards, and recommendations to technical and executive audiences. 
  • Security Projects & Strategic Initiatives: Lead and drive cybersecurity-related projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and emerging technology trends. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity and or GRC 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead threat detection, security investigations, and policy development 
  • Passion and proficiency for creating and delivering Cybersecurity Awareness Content 
  • Proficient in threat intelligence analysis, digital forensics, and risk assessment 
  • Familiar with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), and audit frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) 
  • Strong understanding of security fundamentals and general security technologies 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, especially the translation of cybersecurity concepts to all levels of the business 
  • Ability to accurately assess security control posture and maintain accurate documentation 
  • Strong data analytical skills 
  • Experience with industry recognized phishing simulation tools 
  • Strong understanding of email header analysis to look for indicators of phishing 
  • CRISC, CISA, CISM, CIPP, CISSP or equivalent certifications

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $75,000-$105,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
