Job Overview

The Sr. IT Applications Analyst – Parts Systems is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing enterprise applications that manage all aspects of parts operations, including ERP, inventory, logistics, warehouse management, and aftermarket support systems. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and business stakeholders, gathering and analyzing requirements, designing system solutions, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms. The analyst will focus on maintaining system stability, improving functionality, and driving process efficiencies that directly impact parts availability, order fulfillment, and overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, leading enhancements, supporting upgrades, and partnering with warehouse operations to improve inventory accuracy, picking, packing, and shipping processes. By ensuring the reliable performance of parts-related applications, this role helps enable operational excellence, dealer support, and long-term business growth.

Key Job Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, the Sr. IT Applications Analyst – Parts Systems must act as a close liaison between business and IT, ensuring ERP, warehouse management, inventory, and logistics systems operate with maximum reliability and efficiency. The role focuses on solving business problems through technology, enabling smoother operations and more effective decision-making. By collaborating with stakeholders, translating needs into system solutions, and preventing IT failures or disruptions, this position ensures seamless business functioning and operational excellence.
•    Serve as subject matter expert for parts and warehouse management applications, including ERP, inventory, logistics, and aftermarket systems.
•    Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure reliable performance and system availability.
•    Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and translate needs into system enhancements.
•    Lead design, testing, and implementation of upgrades, integrations, and new functionalities.
•    Partner with warehouse operations to improve efficiency in inventory accuracy, order processing, picking, packing, and shipping.
•    Develop and execute test plans, ensure quality assurance, and maintain compliance with IT governance standards.
•    Create and update user documentation, training materials, and deliver end-user training.
•    Manage vendor relationships, coordinate with technical teams, and communicate status, risks, and impacts to leadership.
•    Analyze system data to identify trends, improve forecasting, and support strategic decision-making.
•    Champion continuous improvement by recommending process automation and best practices across applications.

Qualifications/Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field.
•    5+ years of experience in IT applications analysis, support, or business systems, with at least 3 years in parts, aftermarket, or warehouse management systems.
•    Strong knowledge of ERP platforms and integration with inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
•    Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and troubleshooting complex system issues.
•    Solid understanding of supply chain, distribution, and warehouse processes including order management, inventory control, and shipping/receiving.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into functional/technical solutions.
•    Experience leading projects, upgrades, and system enhancements in cross-functional environments.
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or similar frameworks preferred.
