We are currently seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Mining Commercial Manager in support of the Surface Loading Business Unit. In this pivotal position, you will be entrusted with overseeing the pricing, orders, and sales contracts for our designated products and regions/territories.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for commercial management of OE Sales for assigned Surface Loading Tools and territories. These Mining products include Electric Mining Shovels and Electric Wheel Loaders. Position may be required to support Rotary and Track Drills as well.
- Responsible for providing price quotes for assigned products and requesting and maintaining margin approvals.
- Responsible for maintaining electronic quotation history files as well as any hard copies.
- Responsible for significant contract approvals (SCA) management
- Responsible for the order status and fulfillment processes for appointed products and regions.
- Prepare equipment sales offers in accordance with company sales guidelines, along with initiating and following to conclusion related supporting documentation such as vendor support requests, credit related approvals and instruments, special feature requests (SFR), RAMP (Repair & Maintenance Program) contracts and extended warranty requests.
- Provide export control assistance as required to ensure that Komatsu’s products and practices comply with US law and company policy.
- Expedite receipt of and analyze for conformity to negotiated terms and conditions sales order documentation submitted by distributors and subsidiaries (purchase orders, RAMP contracts). Resolve discrepancies as needed.
Key Responsibilities Cont.
- Assist management with the monthly sales forecast preparation and make equipment build/purchase recommendations during Sales & Operations Planning cycle to meet annual equipment sales plan.
- Monitor equipment forecast data received from the regional commercial managers, distributors, and subsidiaries and ensure such information is accurately and timely added into Salesforce.
- Maintain opportunities and status of open opportunities among all quoted prospects in Salesforce.
- Perform reporting and analyses as required by the Commercial Director to achieve company goals and increase overall company profitability
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3-5 years of marketing and sales experience in a related industry (Mining, Construction, Contracts, Distribution, etc.)
- Systems knowledge in Salesforce or SAP is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively lead meetings.
- Strong ability to collaborate with distributors and internal departments to achieve desired results.
- General knowledge of Komatsu products and a comprehensive understanding of the overall mining industry.
- Understands and is developing capability to analyze business risk in the transaction (financial, operational, business, and legal) and consequences of non-compliance
