Job Overview

As a Maintenance Systems & Analytics Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Technical Services Maintenance Department. Our maintenance team provides immediate breakdown support as well as preventative maintenance (PM) to all the critical production machines or “facilities” at the South Harbor manufacturing facility.

This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s Harbor District. The target start date for this role is Summer 2026 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2026 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the electronic PM system and related service documentation.
  • Process maintenance data to build KPIs, automated reports, and dashboards.
  • Update work instructions and documentation to support part-program and VLM process improvements.
  • Create and maintain digital resources, including Fast Crib links for parts availability.
  • Support parts ordering and receipt tracking for the maintenance team.
  • Organize and maintain maintenance documents, work orders, and instructions.
  • Assist Operations and Tech Services teams on data-driven and continuous improvement projects as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in business (supply chain, operations management, information systems, business analytics) or engineering (industrial, manufacturing), or similar from an accredited college or university at time of internship
  • Rising Junior or Senior level student in good academic standing; earliest graduation date of December 2026 to be considered
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics, and BI dashboards; knowledge of Palantir/AI tools for business
  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), advanced Excel skills preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Safety conscience individual
  • Inventory tracking experience and knowledge
  • Experience or knowledge of maintenance programs
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to multitask and determine priorities for completing tasks in a face-paced environment.
