Job Overview
The Millwright will perform mechanical inspections, repair support machinery equipment, install and dismantle machinery, move machinery, equipment, and materials in a precise and consistent manner according to SOP's, blueprints, and schematics.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Receive work assignments and sketches or drawings if needed; examines work to be completed and plans work procedure, obtaining necessary tools and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs or modifications to facilities, equipment and buildings, along with other tasks as required.
- Fabricates miscellaneous braces, brackets, and guards.
- Determines how best to move machine and/or equipment taking weight, size, surroundings, etc. into consideration.
- Clears pathways, dismantles and marks parts or sections of machine/equipment to facilitate reassembling as required.
- Constructs braces, table, or spreader bars to keep from damaging machine/equipment during move.
- Use of overhead cranes, tractor rollers, bars, etc. Determines need for additional team lift as required.
- Installs motors or power transmission equipment such as shafts, belts, pulleys. Sets up ladders or erects scaffolding as needed.
- Lays out floor repair. Breaks up concrete and /or digs out as required for resurfacing, walkway and production floor; erects and installs guards; patches roofs.
- Miscellaneous facilities painting and touch ups.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Performs all assignments in a safe and timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Millwright Journeyman certificate or 10yrs equivalent Millwright experience
- Valid state issued Driver's License
- Training Completion Requirements: Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Protection, Forklift, Aerial Lift
Facilities Equipment and Tooling
- Cab or floor operated overhead crane or hoist; truck operated crane; tractor; forklift; scissor and boom lift, pickup truck.
- Millwright tools and equipment such as: oxyacetylene torch, AC and DC welding machine and equipment miscellaneous masonry, metalworking and woodworking equipment.
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$38.82 - $40.41. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
