How you will help us create value together:
As an Aftermarket Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the surface mining Aftermarket Marketing team. This team is responsible for executing all parts marketing activities (market pricing, product promotions, parts product development, parts product roadmaps, programs, and policies etc.), as well as drive the go-to-market strategies for Komatsu Genuine parts for surface mining products. This intern position will assist Product Managers and/or Marketing Managers focus on detailed analysis and/or projects required for the strategic growth of their assigned parts commodities and/or projects. It will be a good introduction to aftermarket product management.
This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s Harbor District! The target start date for this role is Summer 2024 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2024 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Analysis and interpretation of parts sales, pricing, and margin data
- Administration of data submitted by distribution or managed in internal systems and processes
- Data analysis, gathering, coding and entry for parts attributes and machines
- Creating marketing collateral content for promotions and or to be loaded onto web-based catalog/tools
- Assist in product roadmap development and new product development projects
- Other projects/tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Management or Marketing, or similar, from an accredited college or university
- Sophomore, or Junior level student in good academic standing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
- Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous classroom and/or work experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Marketing, Product Management, B2B Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, e-commerce
- Interest in or aptitude to learn about careers in the heavy equipment industry
