Job Overview

Komatsu has an outstanding opportunity at the Milwaukee headquarters for an Human Resources Generalist. This is a great opportunity for an HR Professional that wants to make a positive impact on the business.   This Role Partners closely with our Leadership to support the Union hourly and Salaried workforce at our Milwaukee headquarters and the Oak Creek Logistics (Milwaukee Distribution Center) facility.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and support as the Human Resources Business Partner to Union hourly and salaried employees in various functions at our headquarters in Milwaukee and Logistics facility in Oak Creek.
  • Be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues within his/her client groups.
  • Coach and support leaders regarding culture development, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Maintain and administer HR information system records (SuccessFactors). 
  • Plays an active role in recruiting and hiring salaried and hourly employees. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in HR, Business, or related field is required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in an HR Generalist Role in a Manufacturing Environment is required.  Union experience is a plus.
  • Strong Presence and Success as an Approachable and Influential Advisor at all levels of the Organization.
  • Experience in Employee Relations, Talent Development, Strategic Partnering, Project Planning, and Change Management. 
  • Ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Effective Communication (oral and written) and Computer Skills (Microsoft Office and SuccessFactors experience preferred). 
  • Proven self-starter, capable of carrying projects through to completion.
  • Local travel required; Minimal overnight travel required.
