Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic entry-level IT Associate Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. 

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage project with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline. 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. 
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. 
  • Provide support to senior project managers in managing parts of large projects. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Familiarity with ITIL methodology and change management. Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tool for change management and integration is a plus. 
  • A foundational understanding of IT concepts such as software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, networking basics, and information security principles. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Jira, Aha!, Planner, SPM, etc.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra technologies is preferable but not required. 

Skills: 

  • Strong decision-making capabilities. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to understand and re-articulate technical concepts 
  • Basic understanding of technical terminology with some experience running successful IT projects 
  • Familiarity with Agile  and Waterfall methodologies; ability to apply these as appropriate 
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies 

Additional Information

Education: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, Voice/Data Communications, Public/Business Administration or a related field 
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical project management 
  • PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
