How you will help us create value together:

As an Aftermarket Global Forecasting Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities within our Aftermarket Demand Planning team. Demand Planning is a globally focused team that utilizes machine and major component data to forecast demand for parts and components and to develop business solutions. Activities will include program management and administration of the Component Tracking System (CTS), collaboration with Salesforce IT consultants and supporting data integrity initiatives through partnership with global teams.

This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s Harbor District! The target start date for this role is Summer 2023 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2023 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Component Tracking System (CTS) Coordinators globally to capture machine and component data.
  • Create and monitor Salesforce cases for system enhancement and error resolution.
  • Develop and prepare datasets for demand planning and sales forecasting.
  • Create, modify and publish data visualizations in Power BI.
  • Work alongside Aftermarket Marketing team to prepare reports and identify opportunities for new product launches.
  • Develop training and best practices documentation.
  • Summer Project: Develop and present findings for optimized forecasting on a select component group based on machine and component tracking data.

Qualifications We Look For

Basic qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Marketing or similar, from an accredited college or university.

  • Junior or Senior level (Senior’s preferred) student in good academic standing.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal.

  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous classroom or work experience in project management, communications, data analysis, or non-profit. 

  • Experience managing projects with an intermediate timeline (e.g., independent research or project management within a business/non-profit)

  • Technology savvy: prior experience with Salesforce, PowerBI, or other visualization tools and R Studio

  • Interest or aptitude to learn about careers in heavy equipment or manufacturing

  • Ability to self-motivate, ask questions, and bring enthusiasm to solve problems

  • Foreign language skills (Spanish preferred)
