Key Job Responsibilities

  • Development, distribution and evaluation of financial reporting for sales, cost center/department, budgets and job costing for a $80 million per year corporate organizational structure on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Research issues outlined by upper management. Provide analysis and develop process improvement recommendations as needed.  Ability to teach/trainer business partners on new process improvements.  This would include, but not be limited to, financial, service process, sales, inventory, Op Ex, safety, warehousing, used equipment, purchasing, accounts receivable, payroll, building administration, etc. All departments regarding the flow of information in the quote to cash process.
  • Perform financial analytics, variance analysis, reconciliations, and research accounting issues related to sales and margin, absorption, and departmental cost, billings, bookings, and backlog.  Review and maintain fixed assets list and capital expenditure approvals. Create miscellaneous journal entries.
  • Manage, streamline and ensure processes, procedures and directives for the US South are adhered to; facilitate problem solving; and keep communication lines open between responsible parties with minimal direction. 
  • Participate in strategic business planning and forecasting; corporate conference calls/meetings as required for financials, cost accounting, business management, procedures and reporting.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 4 year accounting or finance degree with minimum 1-3 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of business management practices, financial accounting principles, job cost accounting
  • Computer software: MS Office with advanced Excel skills, SAP experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and multi-task.
  • Ability to research, analyze and problem solve.
