Job Overview
As a Field Service Technician with US Distribution, a proud division of Joy Global Surface Mining, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and servicing vital mining equipment. Your expertise will ensure the operational efficiency and reliability of machinery, which is critical to our clients' success in the mining sector. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment both at the clients' sites and within our service workshops. Key Job Responsibilities
- Utilize your troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, low voltage (12/24 volt) electrical systems, and mechanical components to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Interpret and analyze complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and handbook formulas to ensure accurate execution of repair tasks.
- Employ your knowledge in the use of various precision measuring instruments to ascertain the dimensions and tolerances of components during maintenance.
- Your background, whether through a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft, or occupation, or through a technical college education, will enhance your ability to meet job requirements.
- Bring your extensive experience of over 3 years in a similar role within the field, contributing significantly to our team's success.
- Enjoy the flexibility of your work schedule, allowing you to adapt to the demands of job sites and client needs.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Possess 2 to 5 years of dedicated experience in the maintenance of mining equipment, including shovels, drills, and loaders, which will be considered advantageous.
- Demonstrate strong print understanding to ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are executed to OEM specifications, maintaining integrity and performance standards.
- Be willing to engage in extensive travel (100%) to meet the needs of our business and our clients, ensuring service is delivered wherever required.
- Be a resident of the Valley area, facilitating quick access to various job sites and maintaining punctuality in service commitments.
- Maintain a clean driving record as you will be operating company vehicles when traveling to various locations.
