Job Overview


We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Lube Technician with a valid CDL A or B to join our team. In this role, you’ll operate a service truck on customer sites to perform essential preventative maintenance and support overall equipment health

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid inspections, and equipment greasing.

  • Conduct minor repairs on heavy machinery such as dozers and excavators, including hoses, bulbs, filters, and other components.

  • Work effectively in diverse environments, including field, shop, and outdoor settings.

  • Accurately document all services and repairs completed for construction, mining, and fleet equipment.

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

 

  • Active CDL A or B license.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent training an asset.

  • 2+ years of related maintenance or heavy equipment experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently in the field.

  • Exceptional safety standards and adhere to all compliance requirements at all times.

Additional Information

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified to operate a forklift and/or manlift.
  • May be required to complete a DOT physical.
  • Required to complete MSHA certification.
  • May be required to complete respirator certification.

Tooling

  • Must have a basic set of mechanics tools that meet minimum requirements as defined on Komatsu Equipment Company technician tool list

  • Abide by all Company policies and procedures

Work Environment


  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


 

Salary

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a minium of $27.45. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
