Job Overview

Build something big! As a Senior Accountant, you will support the Longview Operations accounting team by ensuring accuracy and compliance to the accounting functions and responsibilities listed below. Komatsu offers competive pay, excellent benefits and annual merit/bonus potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

1.Perform month-end journal entries for closing

2. Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP

3. Update and maintain various month-end reports, including inventory analysis and reporting

4. Review and update labor/overhead burden rate

5. Run and analyze the weekly manufacturing variance report to validate accuracy and completeness

6. Support product cost reduction and NPD efforts

7. Ensure all BOMs are costed correctly and maintain standard costs in the system.

8. Support all product lines for cost out initiatives, including the annual cost roll and periodic mock rolls

9. Assist with the annual budget plan and related outlook/forecasts as directed

10. Work with the organization to ensure internal/external compliance

11. Assist with the annual Fixed Assets Audit

12. Perform Ad-hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

This position requires an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or economics. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is

desirable as well as an MBA or MAcc

5+ years experience in manufacturing accounting processes and operations. 2+ years Cost Accounting experience

Ability to read, understand, and analyze production order blueprints is a plus.

Experience working with SAP production management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong critical thinking and intuitive problem-solving skills with an attention to detail required. Healthy professional skepticism and

inquisitiveness. Continuous improvement mindset
