Job Overview

Komatsu is sourcing for a Production Planner at our Longview, Texas facility.  Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and bonus/merit potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Works injury free, achieves an injury-free working environment, and maintains the highest Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards in our industry.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in worker safety and acts in accordance with the company’s HSE policies.
  • This position is responsible for the timely planning and manufacturing scheduling of the products and services as assigned consistent with Komatsu’s requirements.
  • Coordinates the planning of current schedules for the assigned products and services consistent with Komatsu’s requirements.
  • Establishes, monitors and maintains inventory control parameters for assigned products via Replenishment, Min/Max and other approved planning methods consistent with Company requirements.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; or 2 years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with MS Word, and Excel and Microsoft Outlook and Windows based software packages (or similar products) is required
  • Experience with integrated operational and finance systems is a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints helpful, but not required
