This position is geared towards driving excellence in manufacturing accounting processes. You will be instrumental in leading the creation, monitoring, and analysis of the annual business plan and financial forecasting, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational realities.

This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has an aptitude for detailed financial analysis combined with operational insight. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial Management, and various department managers to drive accurate product costing, cost control, and provide actionable analytics that support strategic and tactical decision-making.

The successful candidate will contribute to continuous process improvements, champion financial stewardship, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence cost management and performance metrics, enhancing both operational efficiency and financial outcomes.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the annual business plan, including detailed forecasts and financial reports, to provide a comprehensive view of expected operational and financial performance.
  • Conduct rigorous variance analysis of Sales, Standard Variable Margin (SVM), Operational Volume Control (OVC), and Cost Control (CC) against the business plan and forecasts, identifying root causes and presenting insights to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate Standard Variable Cost (SVC) data for all plant-produced machines, encompassing material costs, subcontracting, freight, surcharges, labor, and overhead, ensuring costs reflect actual production scenarios.
  • Update and distribute month-end reporting packages, including Profit & Loss statements, headcount analytics, Direct Labor Variance Overhead (DLVO), and other plant and labor-related performance indicators to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with Operations and department managers to monitor and control departmental expenses, promoting accountability and budget adherence.
  • Deliver insightful analytics and operational metrics to finance and operations teams, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and financial decision-making.
  • Manage the standard cost setting process within SAP, including oversight of cost-related master data such as purchasing info records, bills of material, and labor routings with backup responsibilities as necessary, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Lead the ownership of Original Equipment (OE) machine standard costs, review monthly cost estimates prepared by teams, and coordinate comprehensive monthly cost analysis alongside Commercial Management.
  • Conduct in-depth product cost investigations by analyzing current and proposed design changes through comparison of Materials, Routings, Standard Costs, Info Records, Production Orders, and Material Masters, identifying cost-saving opportunities and risks.
  • Facilitate the month-end close process to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data, driving operational efficiency and timely reporting.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational goals.

Qualifications/Requirements
