Job Overview

Komatsu is searching for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to work primarily on electrical and instrumentation projects throughout our Longview Operations facility. Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and annual bonus and merit potential.  

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work safe and be an advocate for safety.
  • Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
  • Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools.
  • Integrate software or hardware components, using computer, microprocessor, or control architecture.
  • Select tools, equipment, or technologies for use in operations or projects.
  • Train personnel on proper operational procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electronic systems technology, electrical engineering or similar
  • 5+ years working with various instrumentation & controls
