Job Overview
Komatsu is currently searching for a Manufacturing Process Engineer at our Longview Texas facility. Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and annual merit and bonus potential.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work safe and be an advocate for safety.
- Creating and facilitating standardized production procedures
- Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
- Improves manufacturing processes and methods for safety, cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
- Assists ME Manager and Operations in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
- Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Assists in the design, development, testing and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, equipment and fixtures for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Works as the liaison between Design Engineering and the Manufacturing floor to solve challenges and keep production moving.
Qualifications/Requirements
|
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field preferred. |
|
Minimum of 3 years related experience or combination of education and experience. |
|
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, organizational and written/verbal communication skills are required. |
|
Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus. |
|
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listing and presentation skills including the ability to influence others. |
