We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Specialist in Longview, Texas. Komatsu offers competitive pay, benefits, merit increases and bonus potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Work safely and be an advocate for safety.
  • Auditing the storage and disbursement of all inventory residing in the designated distribution center or warehouse ensuring an accurate and efficient inventory is maintained.
  • Resolving discrepancies and making necessary adjustments in accordance with established cycle counting and auditing procedures in a timely manner.
  • Identify, resolve, and implement new processes and functions to best automate solutions, managing information and processes in support of the distribution and warehouse functions.
  • Provide analytical functions and makes recommendations to enable problem solving in relation to distribution and warehousing needs and process improvements.
  • On-time cycle counting and reconciliation within the timeframe set forth in the policy.
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure Stock at Vendor cycle counts are completed on time and remain accurate.
  • Complete various transactions relative to inventory control needs such as monthly fluid adjustments, scrap transactions, parts charge outs, parts number swaps, Etc.
  • Work cross functionally with production and support departments to accurately charge parts and meet inventory control needs as requested.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to monitor and ensure cycle count and inventory accuracy activities, maintains acceptable accuracy and count volume throughout the year.
  • Investigate and resolve errors, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Act as point of contact for all internal and external audits relative to inventory control and inventory control processes.
  • Audit FTZ cycle counts.
  • Complete and analyze, and report out on metrics and KPIs.
  • Maintain short picks report and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor put away report and investigate discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • A four-year degree in Materials Management or Inventory Control is preferred.
  • Three to Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • The incumbent must work well in a team environment.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • A working knowledge of SAP and WM/IMRF is desired, though not required.
  • A sound understanding of warehousing and cycle counting systems is necessary.
  • Must possess a high level of communication skill, initiative, critical thinking, and desire to improve processes.
