Job Overview

Komatsu is currently sourcing for an Engineer III for our Continuing Product Support department within the Design Engineering team in Longview, Texas. Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and annual merit/bonus potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

Work safely and be an advocate for safety.
Work on engineering projects in various disciplines – Mechanical, Welding, Electrical, Hydraulic,
Manufacturing – related to correcting issues on existing product lines.
Work with design engineers
Work with manufacturing engineers
Hands on testing, analysis, and troubleshooting Analyze field data to determine root cause
Analyze manufacturing issues related to engineering drawings and models Trips to field to capture
data and implement solutions
Support engineering investigation of a design issue
Apply engineering principles to the design of wheel loaders
Ensure designs meet various standards such as ISO, SAE , ASTM, ANSI, AS, MDG Write documents for
projects
Write technical documents and Powerpoint’s to be used by Product Support, Marketing and Tech Pub
Create designs, photos and graphics for procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Preferred 5 years experience on wheel loader or manufacturing, assembly, troubleshooting,
maintenance, documentation, repair (OR experience with similar heavy equipment or off road
products)
Background of hands on repair and troubleshooting of Farm or Construction Equipment/Trucks or
Automotive would be helpful

Additional Information

Familiar with:
ISO, SAE, ASTM. ANSI, AS standards Machine testing for those standards
Proficient with:
Word and Excel, Powerpoint
Solid Edge (or other 3D modeling software) SAP (or other ERP software),
CorelDraw (or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop)
Data analysis
