Key Job Responsibilities

As an Electrical Assembly I team member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing a safety-first mindset by adhering to all company safety policies and advocating for a hazard-free work environment.
  • Preparing thoroughly for assembly tasks by studying blueprints, assembly instructions, and parts lists to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Gathering the necessary tools, components, and subassemblies in advance to streamline your workflow.
  • Performing assembly of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components using templates, measurements, and inspection techniques to ensure correct fit and quality.
  • Assisting more experienced technicians as needed while progressing towards independent completion of assigned tasks.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance on assembly equipment following manufacturer guidelines, identifying issues promptly and escalating repairs to maintain operational reliability.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workstation as well as adherence to industry regulations regarding work environment safety and cleanliness.
  • Documenting your work accurately by completing production and quality control forms, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal standards.
  • Engaging collaboratively with team members and supervisors to foster a positive and productive team atmosphere.

This role demands diligence, strong observational skills, and a continuous commitment to learning and improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications/Requirements

To excel in the Electrical Assembly I position, the following qualifications and requirements must be met:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic mathematics, essential for precise measurements and assembly calculations.
  • Competency in reading measuring tapes and interpreting dimensions accurately.
  • Familiarity with common hand tools, with an understanding of selecting and utilizing the appropriate tool safely and effectively for each task.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and replicate assembly procedures consistently.
  • Awareness of required personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks, and adherence to PPE usage protocols.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills sufficient to interpret technical drawings and assembly guidelines.
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, demonstrating cooperation and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and routine upkeep of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure operational efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background check, drug screening, and physical examination, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
