Job Overview
Reporting to the Global Parts Manager, the Parts & Service Programs Manager is responsible for developing and implementing standardized service programs packages for distribution and dealer use for repair, rebuild, and exchange programs in support of aftermarket growth targets. The role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to promote aftermarket programs, collaborating with the aftermarket and product teams to establish global aftermarket standards, implementing and launch them through the aftermarket teams and distributor networks, as well as establishing metrics or scorecards to track regional/dealer performance. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining standardized aftermarket contract development in relation to multi-unit and parts inventory contracts.
The job responsibility also involves conducting market research and competitive intelligence efforts to ensure customer and market-driven competitive aftermarket standards and program content direction is achieved. The role requires research knowledge of the aftermarket services market and how the company is positioned in it. The incumbent will also lead cross-functional teams to achieve these objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Drive initiatives focused on defining the aftermarket value for service programs. (i.e., Rebuild programs, drifter conversions, consumables repair and exchange, etc.)
- Research knowledge of the aftermarket services market and how Komatsu UGHR is positioned relative to aftermarket programs.
- Establish relationships with regional service personnel to drive adoption of standardized aftermarket programs.
- Prepare and monitor program budgets, forecasts, market analysis and performance reports.
- Become recognized industry expert for aftermarket product(s) participating in development of white papers and speaking opportunities.
- Prepare and present internal and external customer proposals and aftermarket program product presentations.
- Provide content direction and assist with the development and implementation of advertising and promotional activities and programs.
- Identify and execute on potential process improvements.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field is required. A Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in aftermarket services, strategic product marketing of mining equipment is required.
- Direct mining experience with similar equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of the mining operations market is desired.
- Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills with an ability to demonstrate confidence in material knowledge.
- Technical aptitude and experience with market & data analysis, strategic planning, and parts or equipment sales is desired.
- Must be able to manage complex projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders\.
- Strong analytical skills
