  • Identify parts and service issues / opportunities; and act as liaison with customers through to project completion.
  • Develop sales opportunities for all Joy Hard Rock product lines, with a focus on parts and service products and support.
  • Perform gap analysis on existing capital fleet to identify sales opportunities.
  • Build strong working relationships with relevant customer personnel.
  • Participate as a key member in an account team.
  • Provide input to Product Managers to address product offerings.
  • Assess customers’ total potential with Joy Hard Rock products and perform opportunity analysis by customer and site.
  • Monitors and records changes in customer’s active fleet (including competitive equipment).
  • Assist as required in any physical inventory counts (consignment stock).
  • Assist customers with identifying training opportunities.
  • Provide the company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of customer base.


• Associates Degree (or 2-year college diploma) in engineering, technical or related business field with (3) years proven sales experience of equipment parts and service.
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving with a strong customer focus.
• Self-motivated; adaptable to change with strong organizational skills in order to meet tight customer needs and deadlines.
• Results oriented and able to work both independently and within a team.
• High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; ERP system (SAP) experience is considered an asset.
• Excellent bilingual (French/English) verbal/written communication skills in order to negotiate contracts, make presentations to customers, and represent the organization which includes various trade shows and conferences.
• Attentive listener, exercising tact, discretion and judgment in dealing with current and potential customers at all levels of staff within the Joy Global organization.
• Strong knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety Legislation/Regulations.
• Adaptable to change and strong organizational skills in order to meet tight customer needs and deadlines
