Job Overview

The Product Quality Manager is responsible for the overall product quality success throught the development, implementation and monitoring of product quality programs.  They will collaborate with all departments from product management, design engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to positively influence product quality programs and drive engagement and participation in securing our product quality.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Overall product quality success through the development, implementation, monitoring of quality programs. 
  • Partner with manufacturing operations and technical services to decrease lead times and cost while simultaneously increasing quality, customer satisfaction, and brand credibility.
  • Product quality control planning for new product development and current product manufacturing.
  • Increase product quality by developing, implementing and monitoring documentation control and standardization as part of product development, planning, and manufacturing.
  • Product quality inspection procedures for incoming, in process manufacturing and final product testing and close out to ensure products meet technical specifications.
  • Product quality and safety risk analysis for product improvement through formal risk analysis procedures including Juhin, RCCA with broader manufacturing and product team members to ensure manufacturing quality issues are resolved, documented and communicated for future product builds.
  • Product quality and safety risk analysis for product field issues through formal risk analysis procedures including Juhin, RCCA with broader aftermarket and product team members to ensure issue resolution is implemented and communicated as required.
  • Develop quality performance metrics and dashboards to monitor program progress.
  • Participate in the planning, development and implementation of overall quality initiatives in accordance with current operating procedures.
  • Initiate, recommend, and manage process improvement changes with various departments.
  • Participate as member of ISO Auditing Team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with at least three years of demonstrated experience with mobile equipment, transportation or automotive product engineering, test, or design.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience with quality inspection, documentation procedures, ISO requirements in an assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to review and understand drawings/blueprints and have familiarity with measuring systems
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze data using statistical concepts and tools
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, ideally Green/Black Belt certified
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance when necessary, and manage own time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work efficiently with internal production, management, sales personnel, and customers/vendors as required
  • Strong interpersonal and reasoning skills with the ability to build relationships and positively influence interdependent departments on quality program impact and drive participation
  • Must have good computer skills for daily communication, formal program documentation and reporting including MS Office Suite
  • Previous SAP ERP system use is an asset
  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification is preferred.
