Reports to: General Supervisor
Shift: 5x2, Monday-Friday
Allowances: This role is eligible for additional premiums
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: Up to 50% travel required for this role
Relocation: This role is not eligible for relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing on underground mining equipment including LHDs, haul trucks, jumbos, and bolters
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Replace or adjust components and parts to restore equipment performance
- Work directly at customer sites, ensuring timely and effective service
- Uphold and contribute to a strong safety-first culture in every task
Qualifications/Requirements
- Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal is an asset)
- Proven experience with underground mining equipment is required
- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
- No restrictions for accessing any mine site
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
