Job Overview

  • Plan, develop and implement strategy of operational management that will achieve organizational performance plans within agreed budgets.
  • Develop and maintain required systems, policies and procedures for managing necessary aspects of Crushing Services.
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
  • Liaise with technical product support, engineering and Advise Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain departments pf technical issues, potential solutions or product enhancement to mitigate negative impact and protect or grow the overall business. Responsible for conducting market research, facilitate competitive intelligence efforts and lead cross-functional teams to ensure market-driven product direction is achieved.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Regular interaction with GM Crushing Products, company employees, customer staff, field maintenance personnel, and industrial distributors/manufacturers' representatives to support the existing business and identify potential sales.
  • Manage component and machine delivery schedules (AM and OE) with applicable manufacturing locations.
  • Liaise with General Manager Crushing Products.
  • Oversee logistics team to ensure deliveries meet customer expectations. Identify alternative delivery methods to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Assist Engineering with mechanical design reviews and approvals of component and drawings.
  • Assist inventory council with inventory planning and overall market strategies.
  • Establish and evaluate key performance indicators (KPI’s).

  • Evaluate and develop processes and procedures for all customers’ inquiries and order activity
  • Facilitate communications between the organization and our customers to deliver products and services according to company plans and customer needs
  • Customer Satisfaction:  analyze trends in customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Satisfaction:  develop processes and procedures that measure and evaluate customer satisfaction.
  • Problem Resolution:  Develop and implement processes and actions to resolve customer issues, while maintaining a balance with organization’s needs.
  • Manage Customer Service team staffing including recruitment, supervision, development and evaluation.
  • Effectively communicate customer service strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Coordinate with the GM Crushing Products and Sales in developing pricing strategies to support global sales for Crushing.

  • Plan, execute and finalize Supply Chain strategies for spend across our organization.
  • Facilitate communications between the organization and our suppliers to deliver products and services according to company plans and customer needs
  • Supplier evaluation and development:  manage and evaluate performance of existing supply base, including the development and execution of performance improvement actions and supplier prequalification, if necessary.
  • Develop and qualify new suppliers towards securing more cost-effective sources.
  • Analyze trends in the company spend and inventory control to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analyze trends in market conditions for analysis of suppliers’ pricing, lead time and manufacturing capacity.
  • Ensure staff and supplier compliance with our Supply Chain policies and procedures.
  • Direct and manage sourcing strategies from beginning to end.
  • Manage Supply Chain team including recruitment, supervision, development and evaluation.  Effectively communicate supply Chain strategies to team members and stakeholder in a timely and clear fashion
  • Establish and maintain regular communications with the organizations management team regarding pertinent Supply Chain activities.

  • Create, implement, manage and revise strategic and tactical plans to increase efficiency and effectiveness and provide direction to department personnel.
  • Manage leadership team and instill and support the High-Performance Organization philosophy through setting high performance standards, providing training, coaching and communication. Establish personal accountability and recognize success and coach or address underperformers.
  • Establish and support safety awareness and zero harm environment. Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards and union collective bargaining agreements. Maintain equipment and facilities to achieve efficient, reliable and safe operations.
  • Ensure accurate information systems are maintained for scheduling, planning, costing, routing, and bills of material.
  • Direct activities related to the quality system and product and process quality to comply with customer, product and process, specifications, and standards.
  • Interact with Finance, Global Strategic sourcing team, Sales, Product Support, Operations, Engineering and other support departments. Perform analysis to optimize operations.
  • Create a cohesive environment for interacting with employees and resolving employee concerns in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to utilize strategic sourcing processes to develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve quality cost and delivery expectations for direct materials and identifies new outsourcing opportunities where feasible.
  • Provide insight on efficiency and support and promote operational excellence and lean manufacturing initiatives to maximize profitability.
  • Develop budgets, reviewing expenses, cut costs, monitoring inventory and looking for new ways to increase profitability.
  • Direct the establishment of cycle counts and other inventory management plans to reduce inventory and labor and/or increase efficiency.
  • Provide or obtain specialized knowledge and understanding of manufacturing best practices and approaches.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS/BA in engineering or business with advance degrees as a plus.
  • Prior technical sales management experience with an ability to manage a business unit and prioritize potential sales and engineering efforts effectively with respect to business impact.
  • A thorough product understanding relative to technical terminology, methods of production, industry research and accepted engineering practices
  • Requires an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people both internal and external to the organization, while building strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence and deliver results through people.
  • Relevant safety training must be achieved and maintained to allow access to customer sites.
  • Relevant design and manufacturing experience to conduct evaluations and instigate engineering decision making.
  • Ability to set and manage multiple priorities and achieve company goals while working largely independently.
  • Ability to interpret Computer Aided Designs and production drawings, procedures, standards and equipment manuals.
  • This position requires travel on relatively short notice to react quickly to a dynamic environment.
