Job Overview

Maintains the plant in a clean and orderly condition, empties trash hoppers, cleans equipment, moves material, sweeps and does painting, media blasting and steam cleaning.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintains plant in a clean and orderly condition by organizing work and queue areas, sweeping floors, and emptying trash containers. 
  2. Operates fork trucks and overhead cranes to move material.
  3. Perform steam operation to clean parts and equipment.
  4. Operates parts washer to clean parts and equipment.
  5. Perform blast booth operation to prep part surfaces.
  6. Operates shot blast cabinet to prep part surfaces.
  7. Must obey all safety rules associated with the facility.
  8. Performs other labor functions as directed.
  9. Drive trucks to pick up and deliver material.
  10. Paint equipment to customer specification.
  11. Assist Maintenance Department as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Use tape measure

2. Proper operation of powered lift trucks

3. Proper operation of cranes

4. Safety training (Haz-Com, Lock Out / Tag Out, PPE, MSDS, Housekeeping, Lifting, Electrical, manlift)

5. Knowledgeable of ISO Standards

6. Operate media blaster

7. Operate grinders & Hand Tools

8. Operate steam cleaner

9. Operate paint booth

 

Additional Information

  • Six months or more experience in heavy manufacturing environment
  • Able to work any shift
  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to work weekends
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Trade School/Certification Preferred
