Job Overview

The position will be based at Thungela Zibulo Colliery and the incumbent will report to the CPT Engineer/Site Manager.

Drive productivity improvement and quality performance.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Customer support in terms of safety, coaching and achieving lowest cost per ton;
  • Attend to maintenance and production activities;
  • Report writing on all relevant activities on technical / operational issues;
  • Drive Joy vision and mission;
  • Drive productivity improvement and quality performance;
  • Drive machine flawless startup and capturing of information – to give feedback to organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician / Millwright with N3 qualification;
  • Flameproof and Gas Testing certificates;
  • Driver’s license and own reliable transport;
  • Must be computer literate (MS Word, Ms Excel, MS PowerPoint);
  • Experience of JNA II (RIO I and RIO II), Joy VFD shuttle cars, Stamler battery hauler and feeder breaker knowledge – new and older product range;
  • Fletcher Roof bolters knowledge will be an advantage;
  • At least 5 years’ experience on JOY underground equipment (CM’s etc.);
  • Must be willing to do standby;
  • Good report writing skills.
