Reports to: Operations Manager
Shift: 7x7 rotation of days and nights
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 50% travel
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code specifications for industrial installations
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic control systems
- Test equipment and components for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, and install motors, generators, batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate service records
- Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards
Qualifications/Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal an asset)
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, PCL controls, and industrial wiring
- Experience with power wiring for rig or heavy industrial installations
- Skilled in troubleshooting and making sound decisions in the field
- Strong communication, organization, and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and be away for extended periods of time
