Komatsu FrontRunner® Autonomous Systems
Modular, in collaboration with Komatsu, offers a proven autonomous truck and fleet solution, available commercially. Our industry-leading Autonomous Systems provides cost-effective and unrivaled safety and fleet optimization. The autonomous dump truck is centrally controlled through a wireless network that integrates onboard vehicle controllers, high precision global positioning, and obstacle detection and avoidance systems. The system has full supervisory logic that utilizes complex data fusion to control the dump truck to safely operate through a load, haul and dump cycle and allow integration with other mine vehicles such as light vehicles, dozers, loaders, graders.

To effectively plan and manage Mining Technology Solutions Autonomous Systems business development within global strategy, standards and policies.
Travel Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement highly effective and interactive learning solutions for delivery in classroom, web-based, and blended learning environments. Content may include digital assets such as narrated presentations, layouts, and templates. Ensure assets created adhere to quality standards and support learning outcomes and utilize appropriate software applications when needed.
- Create and edit scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, eLearning solutions (i.e., storyboards, etc.), videos, podcasts, presentations, and other related learning solutions with a focus on creative solutions to ensure content and assets developed are organized and convey appropriate meaning.
- Apply instructional design process and methodology including analysis of the audience and job tasks, and the development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, assessment strategies, and learning activities.
- Collaborate effectively and function as a team player while also working independently to meet project needs and objectives. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define course development guidelines, garner buy-in, and ensure content validity.
- Assist in the development of eLearning solutions and instructor-led training (ILT) packages, including developing measurable learning objectives, scenarios, engaging activities, knowledge checks, assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Regularly solicit feedback from peers, staff and managers, and apply the learning to enhance own performance and capabilities.
- Keep abreast of instructional design standards and innovations in the industry.
- Use project management skills, including organizational skills to scope projects, break down project tasks, and estimate times.
- Develop evaluation plans and assessment tools to support outcome achievement and determine learning effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Strong academic understanding of adult learning principles and active learning methodologies.
- Experienced using rapid development tools such as Captivate or Articulate Storyline.
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge of technology tools available to Modular Mining, including Adobe Creative Cloud (including Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign and Illustrator), Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access),
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, developments, and techniques of providing software training and reporting.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to new programs, systems and processes in an evolving and technology driven environment.
- Knowledge of basic internet connectivity terms and usage in an eLearning environment.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Ability to build online and classroom-based instruction.
- Strong verbal and writing skills, high attention to detail and follow-up, and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and tact.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- An exceptional work ethic and track record of personal initiative.
Desired Skills
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of experience.
- Experience designing aesthetically pleasing and appropriately scaffolded online or blended courses for adult learners.
- Knowledge of Instructional Design methodology and Adult Learning Theory.
- Experience working with subject matter experts and engineers.
- Experience working as part of a global team.
- Familiarity using virtual technology and remote tools, such as VMware and Remote Desktop.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or Portuguese
- Mining industry knowledge
- Experience working in an LMS environment (such as Brightspace).
- Experience with 3D modeling and Unity3D.
- Experience with Graphic Design.
