Job Overview

Komatsu Mining currently has an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor in their Houston, PA facility.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, participate and adhere conformance to the company safety & environmental programs.  Communicate safety through various trainings, safety talks, personal example and awareness activities.
  • Manage the department in a manner that achieves maximum quality while meeting accepted standard of efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise the hourly workforce in the assigned department in a manner that maintains a positive employee relations climate within the department. 
  • Achieve On Time Delivery goal through effective workforce management, anticipation of future needs & implementing actions to meet needs, and provide clear, consistent, and timely communication to workforce relative to goal progress.
  • Engage in effective communication at all levels regarding production updates and reporting, scheduling of workforce availability and workload balance, safety and performance management boards.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through workforce management activities including performance management.
  • Applies change management principles to lead the department in the adoption of company process, policy and/or procedure changes and ensure the changes are fully
     implemented and sustained.
  • Offer ideas and suggestions to leadership for consideration in support of continual improvement and implement actions as appropriate.


This position requires three to five years experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management in a warehousing or logistics environment with two years Supervisory experience.  An Associates Degree or higher in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field is preferred.  Also required is a strong knowledge of Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices; and the ability to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations. Knowledge of Bar Code Technology and Electronic Data Interchange a plus. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.  SAP and Microsoft Office application experience is preferred.
