Job Overview

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full scope of Human Resources activities including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits administration and HRIS administration.
  • Support and drive safety initiatives and culture.
  • Assist Payroll Center of Excellence in the administration of local payroll data for hourly and salary non-exempt employees.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Center of Excellence in the support local benefit administration (benefit enrollment and processes, leave administration, etc.)
  • Work with department managers to assess manpower needs, make recruitment plans, interview, and hire individuals best suited for our staffing needs.  
  • Lead local onboarding and orientation for new full time and temporary associates.
  • Work with department managers and training department to assess employee developmental needs.
  • Create and maintain confidential personnel files and information. 
  • Provide local monthly reports to department leaders and HR Manager. Analyze data provided and recommend solutions to trends observed.
  • Act as local Wellness Champion managing all aspects of the local Komatsu Wellness initiatives. Lead local health fairs, wellness challenges and coordinate local blood drives and wellness events.
  • Conduct performance meetings along with Employee, Manager and HR Manager.
  • Responsible for HRIS data integrity. Conduct Employee Data Audits and make needed corrections.
  • Communicate with employees regarding relevant benefit changes, deadlines, and benefit enrollment.
  • Participate in employee relations investigations.
  • Helps assist town hall meetings, employee involvement meetings, and training sessions.
  • Stay abreast of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. 
  • Support local event and social contribution committees with planning and execution of key initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in HR or related field or 3 – 5 years minimum HR experience. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong sense of ethics and drive to do the right thing.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Confidentiality adherence 
  • SPHR or PHR professional certification a plus.

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
