Job Overview

The HR Analytics Program Manager will lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our HR analytics and reporting strategy. This role will transform HR data into actionable insights that inform talent decisions, drive organizational effectiveness, and strengthen our people strategy. Partnering closely with HR leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, the HR Analytics Program Manager will oversee reporting infrastructure, data governance, and advanced people analytics initiatives that align with business objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and execute the HR analytics roadmap to transition from operational reporting to advanced people insights used for strategic business decisions.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders by translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives.
    • Partner with stakeholders to align HR analytics with organizational goals, talent strategy, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting
    • Lead the development and delivery of recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations across HR domains (e.g., workforce planning, DE&I, compensation, turnover, engagement, performance).
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance through strong governance, audits, and reconciliations.
    • Leverage BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and HRIS reporting capabilities to build scalable, interactive dashboards.
  • People Insights & Advanced Analytics
    • Apply statistical methods and predictive modeling to identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Drive insights into key people metrics (e.g. attrition, talent mobility, hiring funnel effectiveness, DEI outcomes) and partner with leaders to design targeted interventions.
    • Use research methodologies and behavioral science principles to uncover drivers of employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Team & Project Management
    • Mentor a small team of analysts and foster collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of reporting and analytics solutions.
    • Partner with IT, Finance, and HR Shared Services to integrate data across systems and enhance data accessibility.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related field.
    • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR analytics, reporting, or workforce strategy.
  • Technical Skills
    • Advanced proficiency in BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of HR systems (SuccessFactors, UKG, or comparable platforms).
    • Deep understanding of workforce metrics and KPIs (e.g. headcount, turnover, DE&I, time-to-fill, internal mobility, span of control).
  • Core Competencies
    • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to connect data-driven insights to workforce strategy and organizational performance.
    • Skilled in managing complexity, balancing multiple stakeholders, and driving adoption of analytics solutions.
    • Strong business acumen with a track record of shaping HR initiatives through evidence-based insights.
  • Travel Requirements
    • 5% - travel to corporate and manufacturing sites to partner with the business.

Additional Information

 

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $88,100-$110,100. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
