Job Overview
We are seeking a Technologies Solution Expert to support our sales and product support teams in promoting and deploying Intelligent Machine Control (IMC) technologies in WY. This is a field-focused role ideal for candidates with a civil construction background, surveying experience, and a passion for technology-driven solutions.
You’ll be the go-to expert for demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, and customer engagement around intelligent machines, GPS systems, and smart construction tools. This role offers a company truck, flexible hours, autonomy, and the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with contractors. While you'll visit an office for this job, you'll spend most of your time in the field.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute demonstrations, rentals, and deliveries of GPS Base & Rovers, aftermarket machine control, and Komatsu IMC (Intelligent Machine Control) machines.
- Support the sales team in marketing and selling IMC units and aftermarket machine control systems.
- Train operators, sales reps, and support staff on intelligent technologies (IMC, GPS systems, drones).
- Maintain strong relationships with Komatsu IMC business group, other dealers, and local contractors.
- Prepare Quotes & Sales Packets for Aftermarket gps, Smart Construction Solutions, and gps parts.
- Troubleshoot and support customers with GPS systems, sensors, and machine control components.
- Conduct drone flights and assist with site localization and control point setup.
- Maintain a rental log and track equipment usage across the territory.
- Travel regularly between Casper and Gillette, with occasional trips to Lander, Riverton, Jackson, and Star Valley.
- Stay current on technology upgrades, software applications, and industry trends.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Civil construction experience (foreman, superintendent, operator) strongly preferred.
- Background in construction surveying (PLS, licensed land surveyor, pointman, or party chief experience) is a major plus.
- Familiarity with GPS systems (Topcon, Trimble, Leica) and machine control technologies.
- Experience reading and interpreting civil plan sets and site layouts.
- Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, parts, and customer needs.
- Comfortable in a sales-oriented role with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Drone experience and Part 107 certification preferred but not required.
- Construction equipment and industry knowledge preferred
- Some excavating and grading knowledge required
- Knowledge of software and technology applications preferred
