Job Overview
The Project Manager leads complex global service product and rebuild initiatives from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. This role drives cross-functional collaboration, oversees execution and validation plans, and manages stakeholder engagement, regional rollout, and sustainability.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage projects for the underground mining product line
- Manage AFC rebuild projects coordinated between several manufacturing locations.
- Ensure each project has full project management control, with reporting of progress, status and results against project plans for performance: on time, on scope and on budget.
- Deliver the agreed upon outcomes for each project with full responsibility against the project plans.
- Support the product management team in project scope limits, estimating and scheduling NPD projects.
- Plan and coordinate resources required to execute each project successfully.
- Liaise with contractors, employees and management (including engineering, supply chain, sales and commercial functions) to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the projects.
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects from concept to completion by developing detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Comply with Joy Global policy and procedures for project management
Predominant Tasks
- Defining the project and project deliverables against timelines and budget.
- Manage the development plans including the field testing and validation plans globally.
- Manage the inventory fulfillment through the different distribution channels.
- Manage the fulfillment with operations which includes manufacturing locations.
- Provide continuous visibility to stakeholders and leadership through structured reporting, meeting, and engagement.
- Manage the regional introduction plans through training and awareness programs.
- Ensure sustainability of the project until the global regions own the outcome.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in technical or business fundamentals, required.
- Advanced degree(s) in engineering, science, and/or business, highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience managing people and/or major projects in industry, required.
- 3-5 years of experience in mining or machine design, desired.
- Leadership implementing Lean Engineering principles, highly desired.
- Sponsorship of effective Change Management implementation, desired.
- Certifications or demonstrated project management, required
