Job Overview
This role provides expertise in assigned manufacturing processes, leading regional standardization, training, and troubleshooting while supporting KMC facilities and suppliers across the AMNO region. Responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing strategies, designing fixtures, managing capital planning, and driving business transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for a specific manufacturing process or processes
- Support manufacturing processes at KMC facilities and external suppliers throughout AMNO region

Determine manufacturing strategies and design processes for parts, sub-assemblies and machine assemblies,
with limited direction

Coordinate and participate in capital planning at the site and regional level, write appropriations requests for plant
projects.
- Design fixtures to reduce manufacturing cost, lead time, and improve quality.
- Support DFMA (or DFX) initiative
- Support Business Transformation initiatives
Predominant Tasks

Support overall Manufacturing Engineering team through expertise in assigned manufacturing process or
processes
- Manage regional standardization of assigned manufacturing process or processes
- Manage regional training curriculum(s) for assigned manufacturing process or processes
- Lead projects involving assigned manufacturing process or processes
- Provide regional Support & Troubleshooting for assigned manufacturing process or processes
- Coordinate and execute the observation, documentation, or simulation of manufacturing processes
- Create and modify manufacturing drawings, in two and three dimensions
- Create and manipulate three-dimension drawings of parts to depict manufacturing processes
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2-year Degree or Process Certification (Journeyman Machinist, CWE, CWI, etc) preferred
- 10 years experiennce in a specific manufacturing process
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to express manufacturing concepts conversationally in meetings, face to face, over the phone and in email
- Ability to work with people on a manufacturing floor in a productive, non-combative nature
- Can plan and manage projects with other internal departments, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to meet deadlines
