Job Overview

Location: Franklin, PA

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for configuring CAD and PDM tools to meet business requirements
  • Provide user support (resolve issues, implement enhancements, provide training)
  • Coordinate with CAD Admins, Engineering Systems Analysts, CAD Librarian and others to support overall use of the CAD system by the business
  • Support other engineering system tools as assigned
  • Contribute to improvement of systems and processes in assigned areas. Identify and lead medium to large improvement efforts.

Predominant Tasks

  • Learn the company’s engineering systems and apply knowledge to support the needs of internal customers. 
  • Monitor and support engineering systems with system maintenance, troubleshooting, programming support, user training, and upgrades or changes as required.
  • Identify, develop, test, and implement changes to improve engineering systems and processes.
  • Extract, analyze, and evaluate engineering data.
  • Keep abreast of current developments in engineering system tools and identify opportunities for improvements that apply to our business

Qualifications/Requirements

    • 4 year engineering, computer science, or related technical degree, strongly preferred.
    • 7+ years’ experience designing, developing, and configuring systems to support business process requirements and user needs, required.
    • 3 years’ experience in mining or machine design, desired.
    • Experience in configuring and maintaining computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Data Management (PDM) tools, strongly preferred. Experience with Autodesk products, desired.
    • Drafting and design experience, beneficial.
    • Experience working with global teams, desired.
    • Knowledge in SAP engineering applications, beneficial
    • Skill with data mining, data reporting, and data analysis tools and techniques, required.
    • Knowledge and experience with one or more programming languages, C# and .net highly preferred, network infrastructure, and databases, beneficial.
    • Understanding of engineering data and engineering change control processes, required.
    • Demonstrated aptitude in learning and applying new systems, tools, and technologies to meet business needs.
