This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where parts planning, material readiness, and job ownership are critical to success.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize ERP platforms such as SAP and CDK to plan, schedule, and manage work orders effectively, ensuring master data integrity and efficient resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and verify parts planning and material readiness ahead of shop rebuild jobs, including components like cylinders, gearboxes, shafts, and other machine shop assemblies.
  • Conduct thorough Bill of Materials (BOM) reviews to guarantee accuracy and completeness of parts lists and job scope before initiating projects, reducing delays and cost overruns.
  • Collaborate closely with shop supervisors and technical teams across Welding, Machining, Rebuild, and Construction departments to maintain fluid communication regarding job status, priorities, and any identified risks.
  • Track progress proactively, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary to adhere to deadlines while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Champion a Safety-First environment by planning workflows and materials handling that mitigate hazards and promote risk awareness among all team members.
  • Take full ownership of the job lifecycle, including preparation, active monitoring, invoicing accuracy, and final closeout procedures, ensuring seamless project completion and financial accountability.
  • Analyze job cost data to identify variances early and collaborate with finance teams to support transparent billing and budget adherence.
  • Identify process improvements related to parts procurement, workflow efficiency, or communication to enhance rebuild operations continually.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in planning, parts coordination, or operational support within manufacturing, heavy equipment servicing, or similar industrial contexts.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing effectively to meet tight deadlines independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to anticipate and resolve issues impacting workflow, inventory, or scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at fostering collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and management.
  • Proficiency with ERP software platforms, preferably SAP and/or CDK, to manage data, work orders, and material tracking efficiently.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and the principles of Bill of Materials management to support rebuild accuracy.
  • Committed to safety practices and capable of integrating risk mitigation strategies into daily planning activities.

Additional Information

  • Experience in environments focused on heavy equipment, mining industries, or specialized component rebuild workshops will be advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of OE and aftermarket parts management, including lead time estimation and material flow optimization.
  • Knowledge of rebuild planning processes, routing, and shop operations enhances effectiveness in managing job scopes and scheduling.
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems, especially SAP and CDK, is preferred to ensure seamless integration with company operations.
