Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of underground mining equipment.
- Diagnostic Skills: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems with precision.
- On-Site Service: Adjust, repair, or replace defective equipment parts, components, or systems at customer sites.
- Testing: Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
- Technical Expertise: Work with schematics and troubleshoot low voltage control systems.
- Alignment: Align couples on motors, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Education: Equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship or a one-year technical college education.
- Underground Experience: Preferred for this role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
