Join a dynamic and innovative team as a Regional Manager for the Elko, NV Mining Distribution region. In this pivotal role, you will lead operations within a highly-regarded organization, focusing on maximizing performance and ensuring customer satisfaction across diverse service offerings related to Komatsu Mining Equipment. You will leverage your experience to drive strategic initiatives and cultivate productive relationships within the mining community, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional service and support.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational and financial performance of the Nevada region, including Komatsu Mining Equipment Distribution, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and customer expectations.
- Responsible for the P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet management for a thriving $160M Sales and Service Organization within the Komatsu Mining and Construction Region.
- As a strategic leader, you will foster collaboration across teams including Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources to drive effective operational efficiencies.
- Ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction by monitoring performance metrics related to mining equipment and services, proactively addressing any concerns.
- Leverage the Komatsu Way principles including Safety First initiatives, Compliance with legal standards, and Quality assurance of all parts and services provided.
- Evaluate facility needs and orchestrate necessary capital spending plans to support expansion and excellence within the region.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, responsibility, and high-quality performance in all aspects of operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an engineering background in mechanical or electrical disciplines is highly desirable.
- A strong background in mining equipment operations is preferable, showcasing your familiarity with equipment technologies and industry standards.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in related mineral processing, maintenance, and operations, displaying a comprehensive understanding of industry practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Field Service and project management, with the ability to lead teams effectively in both routine and high-pressure situations.
- Over 10 years in manufacturing or service management, showcasing your proficiency in overseeing complex operations and achieving targeted results.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and adeptness in internet-based sales support platforms.
- Adept at managing conflicts and diffusing emotionally charged situations to maintain professionalism and foster positive outcomes.
- Willingness to accommodate customer needs after hours, demonstrating commitment and flexibility in service.
- Availability for travel as required to meet the needs of the business and enhance customer relationships.
- Must be MSHA Certified or possess the capability to obtain such certification promptly.
