Key Job Responsibilities
- Champion workplace safety by monitoring equipment condition, overseeing operational practices, and ensuring housekeeping standards exceed regulatory and company safety requirements, instilling a lasting Safety-First ethos across the maintenance team.
- Collaborate closely with Planning and Production Managers along with the Field Manager to align departmental plans and actions with overall strategic goals and compliance standards.
- Regularly inspect and audit ongoing service jobs to sustain superior quality standards, guaranteeing that every deliverable consistently meets or surpasses design specifications for ultimate reliability and operational productivity. Adopt a mindset of continuous quality enhancement through procedural updates and innovation.
- Coordinate complex scheduling by balancing routine maintenance, planned outages, and urgent breakdown responses, ensuring optimal resource deployment and minimizing downtime for customers.
- Manage comprehensive planning functions within the maintenance department under general supervision, prioritizing tasks based on customer urgency and resource availability while maintaining flexibility to adjust as conditions evolve.
- Leverage robust planning tools and digital systems to document workflows, track job progress, and streamline scheduling, showcasing adaptability to evolving technologies.
- Take full ownership of the planning lifecycle including job scoping, scheduling, materials coordination, and cross-functional communication to facilitate seamless execution of maintenance projects.
- Partner with supervisory staff to initiate assignments and ensure procurement of all necessary parts, materials, and resources vital to successful task completion.
- Oversee logistical arrangements related to external service support such as accommodations, equipment rentals, and travel plans, maintaining consistent communication with vendors to ensure service continuity.
- Conduct thorough receipt inspection and validation of parts and materials required for maintenance jobs to uphold inventory accuracy and service readiness.
- Maintain vigilant budgetary control by tracking and analyzing job-related costs, enabling transparent financial management and compliance with allocated expenditures.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and participate in management discussions to provide insights that support informed planning decisions and cost optimization.
- Facilitate customer relations through preparation of preliminary invoices, addressing billing inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial documentation aligned with service delivery.
- Maintain meticulous electronic records using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, ensuring all documentation is systematically archived, readily accessible, and compliant with data retention policies.
- Support the execution of special projects as assigned, contributing innovative ideas and efficient solutions to enhance maintenance operations and departmental goals.
- Coordinate collaborative efforts across ERP systems for shared labor management to ensure unified communication and streamlined operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED as a minimum educational foundation, supplemented by advanced coursework or training progressing toward a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, demonstrating dedication to ongoing professional development.
- Exhibit thorough understanding of site operations, equipment functionalities, and facility infrastructure to enable effective planning and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with database systems to accurately manage and update records, reflecting keen attention to detail and data integrity.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across multiple platforms and with diverse stakeholders, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
- Apply knowledge of preventive maintenance principles relevant to assigned machinery, supporting long-term operational reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain a proactive stance on occupational health and safety by recognizing potential hazards and implementing preventative measures consistent with industry best practices.
- Be familiar with relevant software suites such as SAP for enterprise resource planning, CDK for operational workflow management, Microsoft Office for documentation, and Gantt Chart tools for project scheduling to optimize workflow management.
- Understand the technical layouts of machine components to facilitate accurate task planning, resource allocation, and issue diagnosis.
