1. Plan and provide necessary documentation, order and coordinate materials & supplies and manage our ERP for the Field department. Provide customer service alongside supervisor, account/project managers by providing quotes, information and invoicing. Forecast and contribute to revenue generation for the Field department

 2. Provide drafting services for service work, documenting our work, providing necessary details for vendor, and occasionally direct to customer drafting services. Coordinate with outside engineering services when necessary

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work with supervisors, account & project managers on forecasting work
  • Setup and plan field service jobs for success
  • Research vendor, materials, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide detail drawings for plate vendors and internal documentation when necessary.
  • Execute administrative functions for the field department
  • Track, and coordinate shipments (incoming and outgoing)
  • Data entry & Document management, filing, scanning, preserving our history and information for future use.
  • Review costs and budgets
  • Enter Requisitions for purchasing
  • Invoice customers
  • Provide drafting service when necessary
  • Reporting as necessary for job status, budgets, costs, field services
  • Provide backup coverage for other departments as necessary. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
  • Advanced training up to or including a Bachelors degree in an appropriate field (preferred)
  • 1 - 3 years expereince with SAP/Oracle/CDK or other ERP system experience (preferred)

Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to gain knowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Skilled in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Knowledge of Machine component layout
  • Good understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) is required.
  • Able to work in a busy open office setting
  • Able to do repetitive data entry, mathematical calculations, follow algorithms and SOP’s
  • Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis and lift 50lbs
  • Able to work in a loud, dirty, and busy shop environment
  • Understanding of measurement units (imperial and metric) and devices used to take measurements
  • Able to drive a company vehicle and/or forklift
  • Basic understanding of raw materials (plate types, steel shapes) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of construction or mining equipment and ground engagement tooling is a plus
  • Basic understanding of welding or machining is a plus
