Job Overview
We are currently looking to add a Journeyperson Electric Motor Systems Technician with Rewind Experience to our Edmonton, AB location.
Reports to: Mechanical Shop Foreman
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours
Location: Edmonton, AB
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation
Wage: $31.99 - $58.16
Responsibilities
- Diagnose problems in electric motor systems.
- Dismantle electric motors and other electrical and mechanical equipment for servicing, modification, or repair.
- Armature winding
- AC, DC, and Generator winding
- Troubleshooting and Evaluating equipment
- Wind and assemble various types of coils for electric motors or transformers and reinstall.
- Balance armatures or rotors.
- Weld and braze or solder electrical connections.
- Align and adjust parts to close tolerances in order to reassemble items.
- Complete relevant repair paperwork.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with Armature rewind experience.
- Experience with electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Strong standard for quality and safety.
- Team oriented approach and thought process.
