PRIMARY FUNCTION
Dismantles, rebuilds, and installs panel boards, control cases, cable reels and associated electrical equipment.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Small hand tools, volt-ohm meter, hoist, fork truck, hydraulic crimpers, micrometer, calipe
SAMPLE WORK PROCEDURE
- Dismantles electrical control cases, panel, cable reels, and related electrical equipment.
- Removes all wire, cleans electrical connections, paints panels and control cases.
- Checks electrical components with volt-ohm meter; replacing or repairing parts as required.
- Using various diagrams, reassembles and installs control cases, panel boards, cable reels and other electrical components.
- Tests function of reassembled equipment, consulting with supervisor when required.
- Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping assignments.
