Job Overview

We have a newly created opportunity for a technical lead to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O’Hare). Fully remote work or alternative work locations will not be considered. 

 

As a Technical Lead specializing in Digital Experience (DX) Platforms, you will lead a team of developers and technical analysts to customize and configure digital experience solutions that drive engagement, conversion, and retention across various digital channels. You will play a pivotal role in defining technical strategies, guiding solution design, and ensuring successful implementation of digital experience platforms to meet business objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development and architecture of digital experience platforms (Adobe Commerce and Salesforce CRM)
  • Define technical requirements, specifications, and architecture designs based on business objectives and user needs.
  • Oversee the development, customization, and integration of digital experience platforms, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Implement application logging and observability features into digital experience solutions to facilitate monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage logging frameworks, metrics collection, and error tracking tools to ensure visibility into application performance and behavior.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to gather and analyze requirements for digital experience solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments and prototype development to validate design concepts and identify potential risks and challenges.
  • Integrate digital experience solutions with other systems and applications within the organization's technology ecosystem.
  • Document technical designs, development tasks, and system configurations for reference and future maintenance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in digital experience platforms, application logging, monitoring, and observability.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information science or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years of experience in technical leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading the development of digital experience platforms, encompassing both packaged and custom applications in the ecommerce, Content/Digital Asset Management and CRM space.
  • Strong technical expertise in web development technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js, Angular.js, or Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems (CMS), ecommerce platforms, and CRM systems. Experience with Adobe Commerce and Salesforce CRM strongly preferred. 
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure) and microservices architecture.
