Job Overview

The Lead Teamcenter X Solution Architect is responsible for designing, configuring, integrating, and optimizing Siemens Teamcenter X solutions across engineering and adjacent business functions. This role serves as the senior technical expert for Teamcenter X, translating business requirements into scalable process and system solutions that support enterprise product lifecycle management objectives.

 

The role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT teams to define solution architecture, integration strategies, and process improvements aligned with enterprise objectives. This position provides deep technical leadership in Teamcenter X architecture, data models, workflows, integrations, and platform capabilities while guiding implementation partners and development teams through solution delivery.

 

This is a highly collaborative individual contributor role focused on technical solution design, business process enablement, and enterprise PLM strategy execution.

Key Job Responsibilities

•    Serve as the senior technical architect and subject matter expert for Siemens Teamcenter X.
•    Translate business requirements into scalable Teamcenter X process, data, workflow, and integration solutions.
•    Define end-to-end Teamcenter X solution architecture, including integrations with SAP and other enterprise applications.
•    Configure and optimize Teamcenter X capabilities to support engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and product data management processes.
•    Lead technical discovery sessions, solution workshops, and architecture reviews with business and IT stakeholders.
•    Evaluate Teamcenter X platform capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend scalable solution approaches aligned with enterprise standards.
•    Develop functional and technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data models, and implementation guidance.
•    Partner with implementation vendors and development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to architectural standards and business objectives.
•    Conduct technical feasibility assessments, proof-of-concept activities, and solution prototyping.
•    Ensure Teamcenter X solutions align with security, governance, scalability, performance, and lifecycle management standards.
•    Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across the PLM ecosystem.
•    Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance for complex Teamcenter X and integration issues.
•    Stay current with Siemens Teamcenter X product roadmaps, cloud capabilities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
•    10+ years of experience designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting Siemens Teamcenter solutions, including Teamcenter X.
•    Deep expertise in Teamcenter architecture, data models, workflows, BOM management, change management, and enterprise integrations.
•    Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing business processes within complex manufacturing environments.
•    Experience integrating Teamcenter X with SAP and related enterprise applications.
•    Hands-on experience with Teamcenter configuration, customization, APIs, integrations, and cloud deployment methodologies.
•    Strong understanding of Teamcenter X SaaS architecture, upgrade strategy, and cloud operating model preferred.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to rapidly translate business needs into technical solutions.
•    Experience facilitating solution workshops and collaborating with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.
•    Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
•    Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed global environment.
•    Experience working with Siemens implementation partners and external system integrators preferred.

 

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $140,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
