Job Overview
Scope
Komatsu ReMarketing has a position available in the fast paced and exciting used equipment business. This role is responsible for inventory management to increase Komatsu used equipment sales while maximizing resale value through reconditioning, certification, marketing, rental and sale. Works closely with ReMarketing Regional managers, Komatsu Financial, Komatsu service, as well as distributor sales and service personnel.
Position will provide growth opportunity into ReMarketing Regional Manager or sales role and offers good exposure to other cross functional areas within Komatsu.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the repair of used equipment at Komatsu distributors obtain repair quotes from distributor, identify appropriate repairs needed to maximize resale value, negotiate repair costs, follow up on the completion of repairs and ensure quality standards. Approval and processing of repair invoices and warranty claims.
- Liaison to Komatsu Financial on repossessed and lease return equipment, evaluate inspection reports and determine customer billing of machine damage / excess wear based on equipment return provisions.
- Liaison with distributor service personnel and outside vendors to obtain inspections of returned equipment. Ensure that equipment meets evaluation standards.
- Work with regional sales to coordinate inventory, and report on the status of repairs.
- Promote Komatsu CARE Certified Equipment program. Review and approve machine registrations.
- Provide recommendations regarding inventory management, machine valuation and reporting of 50M+ inventory.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS degree in Business: Marketing or Management or 2 years of industry-related experience
- Able to travel domestically by airplane at minimum twice a year.
- Must have a solid understanding and interest and/or aptitude to learn heavy equipment parts products, the overall industry, and market conditions impact.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must be able to establish effective working relationships throughout the organization, both internally and externally, which may include interfacing with Distributor principals and staff, vendors, etc.
- Must demonstrate the ability to develop strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, which includes the ability to discover market opportunities, apply abstract reasoning skills to identify and resolve problems, understand root cause, develop corrective recomendation, and implement approved corrective activities.
- PC proficiency in Microsft Office applications, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint. Aptitude to learn other software programs required.
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $68,200 - $85,300. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
