Job Overview
The Digital Office Senior Program Manager Komatsu Experience will be responsible for overseeing initiatives across Komatsu’s Digital Office for North America (KNA) which includes Mining, Construction, Forestry and Forklift business units. In this role, the successful candidate will manage matrixed project teams comprised of internal and 3rd party delivery teams across multiple Product Orientated Delivery (POD) teams with a focus on managing the overall schedules across multiple projects, overall RAID and Dependency Logs and overall issue resolution and escalations to leadership to keep the KX program on track to delivery significant functionality to our dealers and customers. In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing the program budget including scope work for future periods and managing multiple Scopes of Work (SOW) with multiple teams globally.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed program scope, budget and schedules based on leadership intent for programs of more than $10M annual investment
- Lead global teams of internal and third party vendors of more than 100 FTEs
- Develop detailed program schedules and perform critical path analysis using Microsoft Project and other project planning software including Aha!, ServiceNow and MS DevOps
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products, services or processes
- Leading resolution of a wide range of complex problems in innovative ways, including issues where precedent may not exist
- Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
- Manage and support processes for Change Control Board and Delivery Panel
- Provide updates to Leadership during Steering Committee meetings, Monthly review and Operations review meetings
- Closely manage project plans and delivery status to execute corrective actions if needed to keep projects on track.
- Leading Risk and Issues investigations and mitigation
- Manage Dependencies across all tracks to minimize overall program risk of schedule disruption or budget risk
- May instruct, coach or provide informal guidance to colleagues with less experience
- Identifies needed resources for cross functional program teams
- Manages the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external customers
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or project management
- 10 years of experience managing projects across several business disciplines and teams
- Experience with eCommerce initiatives
- Experience working with independent and company owned dealers
- Experience managing 3rd party vendors including software providers and custom development teams
- Experience working in a matrix organization with a proven ability to manage and influence across team by developing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills especially with Senior Executives both in NA and Globally
- Strong analytical, problem solving
- and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong business background and finance management skills
- Able to coach and mentor Project Manager’s to improve overall skills and knowledge of the project delivery process
- Experience with multiple development methodologies and tools, i.e., MS Project, Power BI, Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, Lean, Scrum, etc.
- Travel as needed in support of projects and major programs (20%)
Preferred Skills
- MBA or other business related advanced degree
- Experience working with and managing projects that leverage the Adobe stack of products including Adobe Experience Management and Adobe Commerce
- Experience working with other Global teams including Japan, Europe and Asia is preferred
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$120,000k-$151,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
