Job Overview

Komatsu is embarking on a global initiative to transform our digital applications. This role will orchestrate the re-platforming of Komatsu websites built on various content management systems to the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Delivering a consistent and world class online experience is a key outcome. 

Primary responsibilities include fostering collaboration and facilitating work across all team members to achieve goals, identify dependencies, remove blockers. This role will often serve as the bridge between complex cross-functional teams creating connections and collaboration. You will ensure all teams adhere to Agile principles and ceremonies for effective delivery. A foundational knowledge of business objectives, our digital channels and Adobe AEM capabilities will be critical for facilitating the website re-build process and delivering a consistent online experience for customers in all markets.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

  • Operational Stability: Oversee the day-to-day health and performance of the company website(s) and associated integrations (CMS, DAM, Analytics,).
  • In-take Management: Define processes and configure tools (ADO, Asana) to ensure effective in-take of tasks and facilitation of work
  • Incident Management: Define processes for triaging website incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution efforts across technical teams.
  • Release Management: Plan, coordinate, and govern the deployment of website code and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track key operational metrics (e.g., uptime, page load time, error rates). Implement and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify issues.
  • Budget: ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Delivery leadership

  • Project Execution: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex website projects, features, and platform upgrades using a flexible methodology (primarily Agile/Scrum, but with Waterfall elements as needed).
  • Scope & Stakeholder Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage expectations and communication with executive stakeholders, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and dependencies across technical and business workstreams.
  • Resource Management: Plan and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to
  • Schedule Flexibility: Capable of working flexible hours to host meetings which accommodate European and Asia working hours 

Collaboration and agile leadership

  • Communication: Serve as the key liaison between operational teams (IT/Infrastructure), development teams, and business stakeholders regarding website health, upcoming releases, and operational risks.
  • Documentation: Ensure critical operational runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and environment configuration documentation are accurate and current.
  • Agile Evangelism: Champion and reinforce Agile values and principles across the digital delivery teams and with business partners.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members on Agile practices, roles, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement of the SDLC and operational processes (e.g., backlog refinement, deployment pipelines) to enhance team efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training sessions on Agile methodologies, tools, and project management practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of website management experience in a B2B and B2C marketing department preferably in a corporate environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role within Website Operations, Release Engineering, or Technical Project Management, with a focus on high-availability digital platforms.
  • Agile Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or equivalent role, directly coaching multiple teams on Scrum or Kanban practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the modern web stack, including Content Management Systems (CMS, DAM), cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD pipelines
  • Tool Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of project management and ticketing systems (ADO, Asana) and version control systems (Git).
  • Experience conducting in-depth website and digital requirement discovery and delivery planning
  • Communication: Excellent ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, and provide constructive feedback at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem Solver: Highly organized, resilient, and proactive in identifying and solving complex operational and process challenges.

Strong organizational and presentation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and manage priorities, present, and share strategies, working across organizational teams to deliver results.
