Job Overview

This position provides Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) support for the Charleroi, PA Global Distribution Center (GDC). The role is execution-focused with elevated HRBP accountability and partners closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager to deliver consistent, compliant, and practical HR support across both bargaining and non-bargaining employee populations.

The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor to site leadership, balancing day-to-day employee and labor relations execution with workforce planning, talent planning, and organizational effectiveness responsibilities. The role applies enterprise HR programs and policies within the site environment while proactively identifying people-related risks, supporting change initiatives, strengthening leadership capability, and using workforce data to inform decisions that improve business outcomes.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day employee and labor relations activities for salaried and bargaining unit employees, including coaching leaders on performance management, attendance, discipline, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Interpret and administer the collective bargaining agreement, including grievance handling, disciplinary actions, investigations, contract interpretation, and support for contract negotiations activities as directed.
  • Conduct objective, well‑documented workplace investigations in alignment with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Proactively assess people-related risk areas (e.g., discipline consistency, attendance trends, investigations, leave usage) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, critical role identification, and future capability needs.
  • Support talent review processes and development planning for key talent and succession pipelines.
  • Coach leaders on organizational effectiveness, change management, team effectiveness, and manager capability.
  • Partner with leaders to translate business and operational changes into people impacts, communication plans, and transition support.
  • Use HR metrics and workforce data (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, engagement, hiring trends, performance patterns) to identify risks, recommend actions, and improve workforce outcomes.
  • Coordinate recruiting and onboarding efforts for salaried, hourly, and bargaining unit positions in partnership with HR Operations/Talent Acquisition.
  • Support compensation and performance management processes, including wage surveys, annual increases, and bonus administration within SAP and related HR systems.
  • Partner with EHS teams and operational leaders to support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Participate in corporate HR initiatives and lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field required.

Certifications:

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus.
  • Labor relations training or certifications preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HRBP experience, including labor relations, talent management, coaching, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-functional business units strongly preferred.
  • Supply chain and distribution experience with strong understanding of industry best practices.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong employee and labor relations capability in union and non-union environments.
  • Ability to coach leaders and influence decisions at multiple levels.
  • Workforce planning, talent assessment, and succession planning capability.
  • Comfort using people data and trends to inform recommendations.
  • Practical, business-focused HR judgment with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
