Job Overview
The position's primary contacts are customers. Typical interface will occur with Chief Electricians and underground supervisors. The position also has regular contact with the Warehouse operations to secure parts and the manufacturing facility to obtain technical assistance.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Customer companies are provided with timely support for the installation of new and rebuilt equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Customer companies are provided with technical support in the repair and troubleshooting of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems for both new and rebuilt continuous miner, shuttle car, battery hauler and bolting equipment.
- Responsible to assist Sales Engineer in development of customer specifications when preparing specific machine proposals. Salesforce data for all customer sites must be maintained for accuracy.
- Repair parts and components are sold.
- Responsible to assist Sales Team in meeting regional sales objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements
The position requires 4-8 years underground experience related to the repair and installation of both electrical and mechanical components on Joy equipment along with competitive machinery. Must have MSHA underground certifications and be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements. Preferred educational background is Technical Education/Certification in Electrical, Mining or Mechanical Engineering. Must be fluent in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Written communication skills required. Requires living in the Carlsbad, New Mexico service area and reporting out of the Carlsbad, New Mexico warehouse.
